What to Expect
What is the laser hair removal procedure like?
Your Kalon laser specialist will spend time learning about your goals to create a treatment plan customized to your needs. They will also discuss the number of laser sessions needed to achieve your desired result. Most patients benefit from a series of 6-8 sessions spaced several weeks apart.
Before each session, your provider will apply a cooling gel to the targeted area for added comfort. They will then use the laser handpiece to direct pulses of light into the hair follicles. Each pulse targets the melanin in the hair, damaging the follicle to prevent future growth. Patients compare the feeling of the laser's pulses to a small rubber band snap. After a session, you'll be able to return to your regular activities right away while taking care to protect the treated areas from sun exposure.
